Okeniyi Jones is a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist with over 11 years of clinical experience. She specializes in the functional rehabilitation of individuals facing a range of behavioral and developmental challenges. Her professional journey began in 2011 at the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Yaba, Lagos, where she quickly rose to Principal Occupational Therapist.

 

Throughout her career, Okeniyi has demonstrated an exceptional ability to support individuals across their lifespans, from children and adolescents with developmental issues to elderly individuals coping with mental health conditions. Her extensive experience includes working with clients facing challenges such as substance misuse disorders, learning disabilities, and neurodevelopmental illnesses. She is particularly adept at providing functional interventions tailored to improve performance and overall well-being.

 

Okeniyi is committed to ongoing professional development, having completed specialized training through programs such as the UTC Colombo and UNODC programs. This commitment has enabled her to continually enhance her clinical expertise and adapt to her clients' evolving needs.

 

In addition to her in-person therapy practice, Okeniyi has embraced the evolving healthcare landscape by assisting with virtual counseling and therapy sessions. She is proficient in delivering remote occupational therapy services, ensuring clients receive personalized care regardless of location. Through virtual platforms, Okeniyi has effectively supported individuals in navigating behavioral challenges, enhancing coping strategies, and promoting emotional and mental health recovery.

 

Recently, Okeniyi has voluntarily retired and joined the National Health Services (England) workforce. She is a registered practitioner with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and a proud member of the UK's Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT).
